Ophthalmology is the medical specialty which is responsible for the treatment of eye diseases. In the subspecialty of Cornea and Refractive Surgery, its purpose includes the diagnosis of disorders and diseases of of the ocular surfacethrough several tests. Some pathologies of the cornea require the application of a drug, this is the case of infectious and inflammatory processes. In other cases they may require surgery
Given the amount of scientific advances in ophthalmology we believe it necessary date training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery in a customized way. For this reason the number of students is limited to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2, so they can make the most of the knowledge of teachers ophthalmologists involved in the course, especially practical consultation, surgery, collecting documentation publications and ongoing studies, and also theoretically attending clinic sessions and preparing for meetings at which they expose areas of interest that have been previously prepared. These works constitute the research required to develop by the student during the course. The master thesis will consist of writing a research paper with scientific methodology
Program designed for doctors and ophthalmologists with some experience interested in acquiring expertise in Cornea and Refractive Surgery. Those selected will participate in both theoretical and practical in daily practice: evidence for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the current studies
