This programme is organised jointly by the Dexeus University Institute and the Department of Cell, Biology, Physiology and Immunology of the UAB which uses its resources to teach the Master in Reproduction Biology and Human Assisted Reproduction Techniques, with which it is associated.

In the development of human assisted reproduction techniques there is a wide range of therapy available for solving the numerous reproductive problems that affect approximately 15% of the population.

Growing demand for these treatments has given rise to the need for specialists in the techniques used with broad knowledge both in the laboratory and in clinical applications.

This postgraduate diploma offers professionals the opportunity to update their knowledge in line with the spirit of life long learning. It also offers foreign students a reduced version which is economically more accessible (in terms of both the fees and the living expense) of the associated Masters degree.

Career opportunities

There are opportunities in the areas of biohealthcare and specifically in clinical embryology for humans and livestock. Students may also come from diagnostic centres working in areas associated with assisted reproduction techniques (biochemical analysis, genetics, etc.) in product distribution companies and related research centres. This diploma aims to improve their chances of professional promotion since it represents constant updating of knowledge in the field.

Internships

UAB masters and graduate diplomas may include or facilitate external academic internships in companies or institutions in order to help the student to achieve a level of expertise that facilitates the insertion or promotion in the workplace.

For this study programme non-curricular (optional) internships are possible:

  • Non-curricular
As a UAB student, you have access to the University occupation portal, the Occupability Service, through which you can participate in selection processes for non-curricular practices as well as getting a contract. In both cases, you need to sign up to the Nexus application.
