The specialization course aims to develop an updated, systematic, active and useful training in robotic surgery through a framework of collaboration between the Puigvert Foundation and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
The aim is to promote surgical education, specifically basic and advanced training in urological robotic surgery. The course is made up of theoretical classes, practice with simulators (dry lab) and live surgery with assistance in the operating theaters of the Puigvert Foundation.
The development of robotic surgery over the years will be introduced, as well as current robots, their functions and instrumentation, operating room layout, new technologies that will be included in the future.
The course has a particular focus on abdominal surgery (partial and radical nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy, adrenalectomy, retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy).
- Robotic platforms
-Operating room arrangement
-Functions of the robotic arms and coupling
- General description of the instruments
-Technological tools available for robotic surgery
- Robotic and living donor radical nephrectomy
-Robotic partial nephrectomy
- Robotic Radical Nephroureterectomy
