The School has received a positive assessment from AQU Catalunya regarding the renewal of its institutional accreditation

During the 2025–2026 academic year, the School of Economics and Business has been working on renewing the institutional accreditation it first obtained in 2021, and the outcome of the assessment conducted by AQU Catalunya has been positive. This process reflects our School’s ongoing commitment to quality.

During the 2025–2026 academic year, the School of Economics and Business undertook the renewal of the institutional accreditation it had obtained in 2021. The process involved preparing a report on the School’s activities and projects, as well as a student self-assessment report.

Finally, on June 10, 11, and 12, an External Assessment Committee (CAE) appointed by the Agency for Quality Assurance in the University System of Catalonia (AQU Catalunya) visited the School as part of the institutional accreditation renewal process.

During the visit, the CAE held hearings with over 150 representatives, including students (bachelor’s, master’s, and alumni), School members, technical and administrative staff (PTGAS), and employers and external stakeholders.

The Dean’s Office has received the external assessment report from AQU Catalunya, and the result is highly satisfactory for the School. The committee gave a positive assessment of all the areas reviewed; while it made some recommendations for improvement, it did not identify any areas requiring specific corrective actions to address potential poor practices. This excellent result would not have been possible, in any way, without the collaboration of all the people involved in this process. This is reflected in the comment that the CAE itself wanted to include in its report:

"The CAE would like to thank the availability and collaboration of the university community throughout the evaluation process, and especially the management team. A thank you that extends to all the people, groups and/or entities that actively participated in the hearings held, whose appreciations have contributed very positively to the knowledge of the institution.

In this sense, the External Committee positively values ​​the collaborative attitude of all the people linked to the center with whom it had the opportunity to dialogue, for their sincerity and response to the questions raised by the members of the Committee; also because of his interest in contributing to the development of this process and what can be derived from it for the improvement of the center and the degrees taught in it.”
