10/10/2025
International Open Access Week, an annual initiative to promote open access (OA) in the academic and research world, is celebrated around the world from 20 to 26 October. This year's theme is Who owns our knowledge? which aims to raise the question of how communities can take control of the knowledge they generate in a disruptive environment such as the one we are currently experiencing.
Here are the activities that will be carried out at the UAB to promote open access:
Step by Step: practical workshop on how to deposit research data into CORA.RDR
Day: Tuesday 21 October 2025
Time: 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Modality: face-to-face session
Description: The first part of the workshop will focus on the elements to take into account when preparing a Readme.txt file, and depositing a data set in the CORA.RDR repository will be explained. In the second part, attendees will be able to prepare their Readme.txt files and/or deposit their data set in CORA.RDR with the help of the tutors.
Attendees must bring their computer to the room where the workshop will be held, and have the data files they want to deposit in CORA.RDR.
Important: given that this will be a practical workshop, users who sign up must have a dataset ready to deposit in CORA.RDR during the session or deposit it in the days following the session.
No certificates of attendance will be issued.
