Idiomes UAB and the FUAB attend international education fairs
Participation in internation events is key to establishing new collaboration agreements.

Pascal Shaw, Director of Idiomes UAB Barcelona, visited China from 22 October to 4 November on a trip organised by the partner agency Chinese and Western Exchanges (CWE). The itinerary included visits to universities in various cities and provinces across the country to promote CAU (Curso de Acceso a la Universidad) and CAU + Master's, Study Abroad and FUAB Formació programmes. He also attended the China Education Expo, one of the most important events in the education sector in Asia.
The visits were attended by directors, heads of international departments, members of the Party, and also students, some of whom already had a prior interest in studying in Spain. Pascal, together with the agent we have been collaborating with for years and with whom we have already made several visits, presented the programmes to the students and took part in meetings to explore possible partnerships.
The Chinese market is changing for various socio-economic reasons, but it’s still one of the top countries with a significant number of students interested in higher education in Spain. These visits and ongoing contact are key to maintaining and expanding collaborations with various universities and educational institutions.
Additionally, FUAB and Idiomes UAB Barcelona attended ICEF Berlin 2025, one of the world’s leading events for international education and student recruitment. More than 2,000 participants from over 100 countries, were present in Berlin seeking to establish platform for dialogue, collaboration, and strategic partnerships.
During the conference Susanna Perez from Idiomes UAB and Richard Turner from FUAB met over 50 partner universities and educational agents to promote academic and language programmes and explore new opportunities for student mobility and cooperation.
The delegation also attended workshops addressing topics such as quality assurance and trends in international higher education.
