Validations

Direct validations applied by the centre are of the following types. 

1. Validations based on completed or partially completed vocational training 

In general, the following vocational training modules and units may be validated: 

• Those included in published regulations:
  • In Order ENS/58/2003 of 12 February (DOGC 20.02.2003), the error correction (DOGC 24.02.2003) and annexes. 
  • RD 1085/2020, de 9 de diciembre (BOE núm. 340, de 30 de diciembre de 2020
  • In Order ECD/1055/2017, of 26 October, amending Order ECD/2159/2014, of 7 November, which establishes new validations between vocational training modules. 
  • Orders which establishes the curriculum of the advanced vocational training cycle in Trainning Qualification
    • International Trade (CMB0-LOE):
      • Real Decreto 1574/2011, de 4 de noviembre, por el que se establece el Título de Técnico Superior en Comercio Internacional y se fijan sus enseñanzas mínimas (Document in spanish)
      • Ordre ENS/336/2016, de 13 de desembre, por el que se establece el currículum del ciclo formativo de grado superior de Comercio Internacional  (Document in catalan). 
    • Transport and Logistic (CMCO-LOE): 
      • Real Decreto 1572/2011, de 4 de noviembre, por el que se establece el Título de Técnico Superior en Transporte y Logística y se fijan sus enseñanzas mínimas (Document in spanish).
      • ORDRE ENS/104/2017, de 25 de maig, por el que se establece el el currículum del ciclo formativo de grado superior de Transporte y Logística (Document in catalan).
• Module on Training and Guidance for Employment
  • Certificates of LOE studies: in the case of a Pass, it will be validated in any other training cycle covered by the LOE. 
  • Certificates of LOGSE studies: 
    • in the case of a Pass, the FOL credit for the same level or a different level validates the training unit "UF1. Starting work" on the LOE certificate 
    • if the student submits the basic-level certificate in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) established in Royal Decree 39/1997, of 17 January, which enacts the regulations on prevention services, unit "UF2. Risk Prevention" will be validated, provided the certificate meets the following requirements: 
      • Name and stamp of the certifying entity and signature of the person responsible. 
      • Full name of the trainee. 
      • Name and duration of the course. 
      • Place and date of issue of the certificate. 
      • Inclusion of this text: "qualifies the holder to perform basic-level tasks pursuant to Royal Decree 39/1997 (Annexe IV A or IV B)". 

2. Validations of vocational training modules on the basis of competence units passed. 

Students with official confirmation (provided by educational or employment authorities) of any competence unit belonging to the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications will receive validation for the corresponding vocational training modules established in the regulation governing each programme. 

Procedure

Students must submit the application for validation, together with the following. 

• Original or attested photocopy of the official grades certificate issued by the centre at which they studied. 
• Original or attested photocopy of the certificate for the corresponding cycle.
• Basic-level certificate, to recognise UF2 Risk Prevention in the case of the LOGSE.
• In the case of confirmed Competence Units: 
  • Certificate of professionalism issued by the corresponding employment authority. 
  • Certificate of partial completion of competence units of the certificate of professionalism issued by the corresponding employment authority. 
  • Resolution on the issuance of a certificate of professionalism or of a certificate of partial completion of competence units of the certificate of professionalism, issued by the corresponding employment authority. 
  • Certificate of competences pursuant to the procedure established in Royal Decree 1224/2009, of 17 July, on recognition of professional competences acquired through work experience. 

Applications for special validations will be resolved by the Directorate General for Initial Vocational Training and Special Education and will be all those that cannot be resolved by the centre. 
The DGFPIERE will make its resolution in approximately ... months. 

1.    Validations based on completed or partially completed vocational training that are not established in the decrees establishing curricula and validation regulations. 
2.    Validations based on completed university studies. 

Students enrolled on an initial vocational training cycle (LOE) who have obtained at least 30 credits on a university course or 12 ECTS credits can apply for validation of one or more of the following vocational training modules or training units: "UF1. Starting work", in the vocational training module Training and Guidance for Employment, the vocational training module Business and Entrepreneurship, or training units created by the centre with the discretionary hours within advanced vocational training cycles. 

The following criteria will be used to perform this validation.

• Between 30 and 40 university credits or at least 12 ECTS credits on a bachelor's degree course obtained: validation of training units in the training cycle, provided these do not add up to more than 66 class hours. 
• Between 41 and 50 university credits or at least 16 ECTS credits on a bachelor's degree course obtained: validation of training units in the training cycle, provided these do not add up to more than 132 class hours. 
• Over 50 university credits or over 20 ECTS credits on a bachelor's degree course obtained: validation of training units in the training cycle, provided these do not add up to more than 198 class hours.

Official university courses that have previously been validated or recognised cannot be validated again for advanced vocational training cycles 

Procedure

Students apply to their centre for special validations and the centre sends the applications to the Directorate General for Initial Vocational Training and Special Education. 

Required documents: 

• Application form for special validation 
• Original or attested photocopy of grade certificates for training units, credits or subjects. 
• Original or attested photocopy of the certificate for the corresponding cycle
• If university studies are put forward and the validations requested are different to "UF1. Starting work", in the vocational training module Training and Guidance for Employment, to the vocational training module Business and Entrepreneurship, or to training units created by the centre with the discretionary hours within advanced vocational training cycles, the following must be provided. 
  • Original or attested copy of the Personal Academic Certificate (transcript) 
  • Attested copy of the degree certificate
  • Course guides, stamped by the corresponding centre. 
  • Syllabus, stamped by the corresponding centre

If the resolution is favourable, the validations obtained will be recorded in the student's assessment documents. 

VALIDATIONS OF LOGSE QUALIFICATIONS AND UNIVERSITY STUDIES
This validated credits will be marked as VALIDATED and will not be taken into account when calculating the final grade for the training cycle. 

VALIDATIONS OF LOE QUALIFICATIONS
Vocational training modules or training units validated for LOE training cycles included in published regulations (anexo III and anexo IV del RD 1085/220, de 9 de diciembre), they are given the score is obtained from the first training cycle in which they were taken and will be taken into account when calculating the final grade for the training cycle.

In the case of passed vocational training modules or training units that have the same name and curriculum, and which are common to several training cycles, the score is obtained from the first training cycle in which they were taken. 

Please note: 

• Training units, credits and vocational training modules that have been previously validated cannot be validated again for other vocational training modules or credits. 
• The Project vocational training module, in advanced vocational training programmes, is not subject to validation. 
• In the case of LOE training cycles, the vocational training modules Training and Guidance for Employment and Business and Entrepreneurship are validated at the request of a student, despite being contextualised in each of the training cycles, and they are given the score is obtained from the first training cycle in which they were taken
• The grades certificate submitted by students to confirm the studies taken must be an official one issued by the corresponding educational centre. In the case of a LOE cycle, the training units passed must be specified.  Please note that report cards or assessment reports are not valid.
