MEMEnginy 2024
Description:
A new edition of MEMEnginy is coming! After ten editions, MEMEnginy has become something more than an academic and technological fair.
As time goes by, MEMEnginy has transformed into a window to the innovation in the technology and engineering fields, where the student body has the opportunity to get to know top companies in their fields, train in workshops and activities and make a first step in their professional career.
In this tenth edition, the program is structured around three parts: conferences, speed dating and networking sessions. At the thematic level, the main areas will be centered around the Internet of Things (IoT), Green Tech, Artificial Intelligence, data management, digital transformation and cybersecurity.

CONNECTA - Prototyping & Team Match Making
Description:
The UAB Research Park, in collaboration with the UAB Open Labs, is organizing an ideal event to connect entrepreneurs, students, alumni, and UAB community makers: CONNECTA.
Held during the 2024 edition of MEMEnginy, CONNECTA is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs in their early stages looking for collaborators to give life to their ideas. During the session, participants will present their developments to possible partners and proactive students to integrate them into their projects as members and partners.

Industrial research on battery manufacturing and recycling
Description:
On April 26, you will have the opportunity to connect with research specialists focused on the manufacture and recycling of batteries. Synchrotron light technology provides advanced analytical tools that allow understanding the structure, composition and electrochemical processes, both in conventional lithium batteries and in innovative materials. This capacity offers valuable information for improving the design, performance, capacity and durability of batteries.
The event will be bought with the participation of leading experts from the field and industry professionals, who will share more efficient and environmentally friendly advances and solutions in the field of lithium batteries. Various financing opportunities for companies will also be discussed through the ReMade-at-ARI project. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the laboratories and facilities of the ALBA Synchrotron.
The ALBA Synchrotron is one of the most outstanding scientific infrastructures in Southeast Europe. This event is thanks to the collaboration between secpho and the ALBA Synchrotron and is funded by the European project ReMade-at-ARI, dedicated to exploring the limits of lithium battery research and new materials.

Innovative Europe: Funding opportunities
Description:
This event provides the opportunity to learn about the Horizon Europe framework programme's call for proposals; specifically, those in pillar III- Innovative Europe from the European Innovation Council (EIC), whose main goal is to support ground-breaking innovations with market creation potential.
Participation will include experts in the European Innovation Council programmes, who will go into detail about the most relevant aspects of the programme. A session on gender and ethical questions for European projects will be offered and, lastly, attendants will learn first-hand about the successful projects that have received European funding. There will be a chance to speak with researchers about their experience, and learn some tips for preparing proposals.
