Once a year, the Computer Vision Center (CVC) opens its doors to show its installations and activities being developed. It's a day when whoever is interested in computer vision and artificial intelligence is invited!
During this open day, we invite you to explore CVC's labs and installations, attend real-time research demonstrations, and learn about the latest advances in their areas of research. You will have the opportunity to interact directly with their researchers and experts, as well as participate in tech demonstrations and other interactive experiences that will offer you a practical vision of science and technology.
This event is directed at students interested in pursuing a career in either computer vision or artificial intelligence, research staff, businesses looking for collaboration opportunities, or someone wishing to keep up with the latest advances in science and technology. Innovative Europe: Funding opportunities
Description:
This event provides the opportunity to learn about the Horizon Europe framework programme's call for proposals; specifically, those in pillar III- Innovative Europe from the European Innovation Council (EIC), whose main goal is to support ground-breaking innovations with market creation potential.
Participation will include experts in the European Innovation Council programmes, who will go into detail about the most relevant aspects of the programme. A session on gender and ethical questions for European projects will be offered and, lastly, attendants will learn first-hand about the successful projects that have received European funding. There will be a chance to speak with researchers about their experience, and learn some tips for preparing proposals.

Generació d'Idees Programme Demoday
Description:
The Demoday of the Generació d'Idees Programme will take place at the UAB Research Park on May 30th. During this demoday, the five finalist teams will expose their innovative ideas in OneHealth matters in from of a jury with an expertise in evaluating businesses ideas:
- Maite Martín, CEO at Plataforma OneHealth
- Lluís Ruiz, general director of Leukos and CEO at Aquilón
- Lucas Martín, patent and technology transfer technician at UAB
The projects being presented are the following:
- PRIMESIGN ALZHEIMERS TEST: rapid diagnostic test for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and risk stratification of the patients at the point of care.
- REPLANTEGEM: transformation of urban spaces and the way people interact through green infrastructure and civic participation.
- NANOBLOCK: a standard modular system based on the assembly of functional proteic blocks for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases.
- SEPSISGUARD: a rapid and highly sensitive diagnostic kit designed for the identification of pathogens and antibiotic resistances in blood samples from patients with sepsis.
- REGEMED MEDICAL SOLUTIONS: Skin Fast Regenerator Device that instantly manufactures customised solutions from the fabric itself.
The demoday will have the presence of Natalia Majó, Professor of the Department of Animal Health and Anatomy at the UAB and currently head of the Animal Health Research Center (IRTA-CRESA).

Inauguration of the 6th edition of the AI4ALL programme
Description:
The Computer Vision Centre (CVC) will be hosting the inaugural event of the sixth edition of AI4ALL, a training programme specialising in artificial intelligence applied to industry and organised by the Parc de Recerca UAB (PRUAB), the CVC, the School of Engineering and the CSIC's Artificial Intelligence Research Institute.
The welcoming speeches will be given by Lluís Juncà, director general for Innovation, Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Government of Catalonia; Rosa Maria Sebastián, vice-rector of Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship at the UAB and director of the Parc de Recerca UAB; Josep Lladós, director of the Computer Vision Centre (CVC); Ian Blanes, director of theUAB School of Engineering, and Lissette Lemus, innovation manager of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA) of the CSIC. The event will also include a presentation of the RDI network in Artificial Intelligence and of a successful case. The second part of the event will focus on explaining the programme to participants and offering a motivational dynamics.

II Conference of the Transfer Offices of Catalan Universities
Description:
The II Conference of the Transfer Office of Catalan Universities will take place on 13 June, an initiative that will bring professionals of the sector together to promote innovation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration between the academic and business world.
During the conference, experts in transference and innovation matters will meet to foster networking amongst university technicians. Some of the themes to be discussed will be the use of Artificial Intelligence in Transfer Offices, funding options for spin-offs, and the new European legislation on AI and its effects on research and technology transfer.
