The report "Pla B. Per una Catalunya resilient en un escenari postcreixement" has been carried out between ICTA-UAB (in the context of the REAL project) and CREAF. The report explores the policies that the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan government) would need to implement for Catalonia to flourish in a post-growth pathway, i.e., for Catalonia to become a sustainable, resilient and socially fair country detached from the imperatives of economic growth. Economic growth is well known to cause severe impacts and is becoming increasingly elusive. This is a semi-quantitative report that considers and interconnects both biophysical and socioeconomic dimensions. It takes into account that the potential effectiveness of many policies is conditioned by the global economy and especially by the eurozone. It attempts to respond both by adapting suitable policy proposals from the literature and by designing new ones, which might be of interest for other countries too. Recent events in the global arena increase the urgency of discussing specific post-growth policies.' 

Salvador Pueyo has worked in various research fields related to the ecosocial transition, including ecological and economic theory and climate. He headed the Climate Complexity Group of the former Catalan Institute of Climate Sciences. He teaches in ICTA-UAB's Master's in Political Ecology.
