The UAB is an innovative public university with a clear commitment to socialize science, technology and innovation. The University promotes and manages research and knowledge transfer in such a way that the generation and dissemination of new knowledge is compatible with its protection and, if applicable, with its transfer to the productive fabric.

On the one hand, under the open science model, those activities aimed at generating new knowledge are promoted and managed. On the other hand, under an open innovation model, transfer activities are promoted, in order to value knowledge and make it possible for it to reach the end user and society in general.

Thus, the UAB is a benchmark university for knowledge transfer and innovation activities in its territorial environment, an engine of economic development and of well-being.
