Microsurgery consists of a set of surgical techniques which traditionally include vascular anastomosis, lymphatic microsuture and nerve neurorrhaphy. It has become a standard part of all tissue transfer techniques and is an essential component in the most advanced reconstructive procedures.

The exponential growth in the use of microsurgical techniques, over the last ten years, especially in plastic surgery, clearly indicates that a skilled microsurgical team is indispensable in all major hospitals.

The objective of the graduate programme is for students (specialised surgeons) to be trained in the microsurgical techniques used for ORL Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery.

Specialists in plastic surgery or in their last year of residency training. Specialists in general surgery, gynaecology, OTS, ORL and maxillofacial surgery.
