UAB ECIU alliance students to visit the European Parliament
The initiative will allow UAB students to work in international groups with other European students and end the course with a 3-day stay at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, from 20 to 22 April. A total of five places are reserved for students of the ECIU alliance, and will be distributed among all member universities.

The European Student Assembly (ESA) organises a global event that aims to gather 250 students from different university alliances across Europe so they can work together on fostering change, improving tomorrow's world and having making their voice heard.
From January to April 2026, these 250 European students will work together in groups through online sessions to tackle issues such as strengthening democracy, promoting a fair circular economy, aligning the EU budget with social needs, ensuring inclusive transport, improving digital skills and cybersecurity, fostering interdisciplinarity in education, promoting intergenerational solidarity, and consolidating strategic autonomy while maintaining European values.
These work sessions will culminate in a three-day face-to-face event at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, from 20 to 22 April, where students will be able to explain the policy recommendations to different European political actors and vote on them.
Registration open to ECIU students
The event is open to students of all nationalities, fields of knowledge and levels of study (from the second year of the degree), as long as they are enrolled in an institution that forms part of the ECIU.
The selection of students, by ESA and the European university alliances, will be made following criteria such as the students' interest in European politics, culture and society, soft skills to participate in an intercultural event, motivation to explore, develop and defend their opinion on the topics of debate, and their commitment to having an impact on their community.
An online information session will be held through Zoom (meeting ID: 851 3689 8408; access code: 447559) on 21 October at 7:00 p.m.
Deadline for applications is 2 November.
