New Interrail Pass for participants of the Erasmus+ programme
ECIU University students participating in one of the mobility experiences offered by the alliance are eligible for this pass. In addition, the UAB will also receive up to 2 extra free passes for its students.
The Erasmus Student Network and Eurail launch the new Interrail Pass for Erasmus+ programme students, as well as for students of the ECIU University participating in a mobility experience, and university lecturers and researchers taking part in any activities offered by the Erasmus+ programme.
The Interrail Pass for Erasmus+ students is valid for six months, and was designed for participants to be able to travel by train during their Erasmus+ experience. The pass was created as a way to meet the needs of international students seeking to use more sustainable options that are in line with their way of thinking, and cover one of the top priorities of the Erasmus+ programme: caring for the environment and fighting against climate change.
The new interrail pass was designed by keeping in mind the new aspects introduced in the Erasmus+ 2024 Programme Guide, which was implemented for mobility programmes beginning in Autumn 2024.
To meet the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and the needs of students, two different passes are being offered:
• Four days of travel within a six-month period starting on the day the first trip is made.
• Six days of travel within a six-month period starting on the day the first trip is made.
