Internship opportunity to work at the ECIU office in Brussels during the 2026/27 academic year

The ECIU, the European alliance of the UAB, offers students an internship in Brussels with a €600 monthly grant and travel expenses at the beginning and end of the internship covered. In addition, there is the possibility of applying for an Erasmus+ grant. The deadline for submitting the application is 3 April.

The selected student will be able to learn firsthand about how European institutions function and participate in activities linked to European education, research and innovation policies.

The ECIU office in Brussels is looking for a student, preferably a master's student, who wants to do an internship in Brussels for five or ten months, with different possible periods: form September 2026 to February 2027, from February to July 2027, or from September 2026 to July 2027.

The selected person will work with the Brussels office team and with the FOREU4ALL project, an initiative that connects European university alliances with the aim of strengthening their collaboration and presence at the European level.

Tasks

Among the main tasks are monitoring European political news, analysing European Union initatives and programmes, participating in events and meetings in Brussels on behalf of the ECIU, as well as supporting communication and coordination activities between the Brussels office and the member universities of the alliance.

Profile

The ECIU is looking for a person who is a student, preferably a master's student, from one of the ECIU member universities (including the UAB) who has a strong interest in and knowledge of European politics. It is essential that the student have excellent English skills, both written and spoken, and be capable of working in a structured and independent manner. Interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic and multicultural environment, will also be valued.
