The programme, which ran from January to June, was launched by the UAB and the UAB Research Park as part of the European BOOGIE-U project, funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).

The five participating enterprises were AWEC, Distinkt, FlexiiC, Inari Global Social Action and Inèdit, all of them spin-offs from the UAB. For six months, these companies have been advised and guided by a mentor, previously selected by the UAB Research Park according to the needs of each one of them. The advice requested was mainly on marketing, financing, legal aspects and product development.

Together, the company and the mentor created a personalised mentoring plan, which included individualised sessions for a total of six hours.

The participating companies evaluated the initiative positively and highlighted aspects such as "the mentor's relaxed experience in the business sector and their ability to identify their challenges" and "the proximity and ability to connect with other companies in the ecosystem".

The ECIU University's BOOGIE-U project is an initiative funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) that aims to boost sustainable economic growth and EU competitiveness by implementing new models to increase innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) capacity within the consortium, thus contributing to the evolution of local innovation systems.
