Challenge-based learning enhanced by virtual reality
Addressed to lecturers from ECIU University members, this three-day micro-module will be offered on the UAB campus from 6 to 8 November. Registration open until 8 September.
From 6 to 8 November, the UAB will be offering a micro-module entitled Challenge Based Learning enhanced by Virtual Reality, which will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. (Wednesday and Thursday) and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Friday).
During this three-day course, theory and practice will be combined on the use of virtual reality to provide attendants with the knowledge needed to incorporate this technology in the creation of real-world simulations and be able to delve deeper into the proposed situations, favouring the remote participation of students and allowing them to try out the solutions developed before implementing them in the real world.
The main areas this learning opportunity will focus on are challenge-based learning, extended reality (virtual reality, mixed reality, augmented reality), virtual reality devices (Oculus Quest 3) and virtual reality platforms (e.g. Thinglink).
The course is aimed at academics from the institutions forming part of the ECIU University (2 places per university). Those interested in signing up must have a good command of English and digital competences. Registration will be open until 8 September through the Engage ECIU platform and the list of those accepted to the course will be published on 12 September.
