Call open for the 2026 ECIU Creathon to be held at the UAB
The UAB will host the 2026 ECIU Creathon from 5 to 7 May. This event will bring together students from the European ECIU alliance to co-create solutions related to heritage and urban and rural development in Catalonia.
Ten UAB students will be chosen through a selection process and registration will remain open unitl 1 February.
The Creathon is an intensive challenge-based learning experience that fosters collaborative and interdisciplinary work between students, teachers, and local stakeholders. This edition will focus on the theme «Building Inclusive Futures: Care, Community and Mobility» with the aim of focusing on social inclusion systems, community cohesion, sustainable mobility, and heritage in urban and rural contexts in Catalonia.
Participants will work on real challenges posed by local entities in two main areas: the rural context, with projects linked to heritage accessibility in the counties of Pallars Jussà and Noguera; and the urban context, focused on the connection between the UAB campus and its natural environment.
In this edition, 50 students from the 12 European universities of the ECIU will participate, and will meet in person at the UAB.
Participating in the Creathon can be validated for 2 ECTS credits. Deadline for applications is 1 February 2026.
