Call for sessions for the ECIU University Forum 2027 now open!
The ECIU, the UAB’s European alliance, has opened a call for sessions for the ECIU University Forum 2027, which will take place on 19 and 20 May 2027 at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. The deadline for submitting proposals is 23 November.
The ECIU University Forum is the annual event that brings together the entire ECIU community with the aim of generating ideas, establishing new relationships, and fostering collaborations, especially in the field of education.
The 2027 edition will be held at the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands, under the title "Entrepreneurial minds, innovative futures". It will explore how entrepreneurship can drive real change and innovation, as well as empower individuals and communities to transform ideas into actions with social impact.
To reflect the co-creation approach that characterises ECIU University, the call is open to the entire alliance community—students, faculty, university staff, researchers, and social stakeholders—who wish to share experiences, projects, or ideas through a session during the forum.
Proposals may be submitted in various formats, such as round tables, lightning talks, skills-building sessions, workspaces and co-creation sessions, etc. Furthermore, they may address areas including challenge-based learning, educational innovation, entrepreneurship, international collaboration, student participation, research, or social impact.
The organisation particularly encourages the submission of proposals developed jointly by different institutions within the alliance that are relevant to social and external stakeholders.
Those interested can present their session proposas until 23 November. The selection will be carried out by the organising committee and the ECIU member universities, and the selected proposals will be announced by 15 January 2027. The number of available spots is limited.
Attendance at the forum will be free of charge for those selected, and they may apply for mobility grants offered by their universities to facilitate their participation.
