This next Thursday 16 May, Àlex Lozano will offer a masterclass to explore the world of OSINTs and their relevance at international level, with special attention to their applications in private research.

Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) is a methodology of collection and analysis of data collected from publicly open sources. OSINT is applied to get all the information available in any public source about a company, person, or anything we want to investigate. Thus, making all this information cluster become intelligence that serves to be more effective in obtaining a result.

Sources of this type can be media, internet, government data, academic publications, commercial data... And they can be used in research, journalism, market studies, security, legal procedures, etc.

Alex Lozano, collaborating professor of the subject Private Research of the Degree in Prevention and Integral Security and founder and CEO of the company Cibergy, will explain in the masterclass “OSINT Unveiled: Exploring International Trends and Key Applications” what use can be given to open sources in the field of private research, the field in which he is an expert. The class, which will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the 144 classroom and in English, will delve into the panorama of information collection and analysis and its implications for global trends.

EPSI will receive with this masterclass several professors from the United States and Poland who have been invited. As well as some more from Europe, through online access. The online class will be open, but the face-to-face format will be restricted and it is necessary to register in the form that has been enabled.
