AI4ALL is a specialized training program designed to foster the development of technology and entrepreneurial projects in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The program presents the Artificial Intelligence technologies capable of addressing societal challenges, explains how these solutions impact their environment, demonstrates the feasibility of applying these technologies from a technological maturity perspective, and proposes potential business models for their exploitation.

Who is it aimed at?

• Entrepreneurs and SMEs interested in applying AI to their projects
• Researchers and PhD candidates with the technical capacity to carry out a project
• Upper-level engineering students interested in exploring the application of AI

Description:

We invite you to join the Advanced Nanofabrication: Controlling Matter at the Extreme Scale session, organised by the UAB Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Alumni Network, on 29 September. The webinar will take place online at 6:30 p.m.

This webinar is organised by the Catalan Society of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (SCN2) and the UAB Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Alumni Network. It will provide a broad overview of advanced nanofabrication techniques and current trends in the field.

The session will be delivered by Jordi Antoja Lleonart, a graduate of UAB’s 2014 Nanoscience and Nanotechnology programme. He later completed a Master’s degree in Nanoscience at the University of Groningen, where he also earned a PhD focusing on functional oxide nanostructures. He currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona.

The session will be moderated by Carles Rubio Lorente, Secretary of SCN2 and Coordinator of the UAB Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Alumni Network.

We look forward to welcoming you on 30 September to the “Roundtable on Career Guidance and Vocational Education and Training”, organised by the UAB Pedagogy and Psychopedagogy Alumni Network. The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the Degree Hall of the Faculty of Educational Sciences on the UAB campus.

The roundtable aims to analyse the impact of the new Vocational Education and Training Act on lifelong professional development and to reflect on the challenges and opportunities it presents for career guidance and vocational counselling processes.

This legislation introduces a more flexible, inclusive and labour-market-oriented model, strengthening the role of guidance as a key element in supporting citizens throughout their educational and professional pathways.

In the past decade, the Erasmus+ Education Policies for Global Development (GLOBED) programme has grown into a global community of researchers, professionals and political leaders committed to understanding and transforming education systems from the perspective of social justice and global development. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, GLOBED organises a two-day international conference at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The conference will include the participation of researchers, professionals, political leaders, alumni, and collaborating entities from all over the world to reflect on the future of educational policies and global development. Its goal is to foster dialogue at the intersection of research, public policy and professional practice. 

Over the course of two days, the debates will focus on topics such as the evolution of education policy and global development over the past decade and potential future directions; the major challenges facing education systems amidst the convergence of multiple crises in diverse regional contexts; the evolving role of data, expert knowledge, and international organisations in education governance; the role of higher education internationalisation and student mobility in the current landscape; and new forms of collaboration among academia, civil society, governments, and international organisations.
