The UAB is a university committed to its environment and to global inequalities and challenges. This is demonstrated by the involvement of its community in various social and supportive programmes and actions. If you will become a UABer next year, choose the solidarity enrolment option and contribute 18 euros to university cooperation projects with countries in the South and awareness for global justice.

The solidarity enrolment campaign, promoted by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS), offers the possibility of making a voluntary contribution of 18 euros at the time of enrolment, with the aim of contributing to the construction of a more supportive and socially committed university.

Donations go to the Solidarity Fund of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which supports projects of cooperation and education for global justice initiated by the university community itself.

One of the fundamental pillars of this campaign is the university community's commitment to social transformation and to combating structural inequalities in relations between the Global North and South. This financial contribution helps to finance projects (proposed by both students and faculty) in areas such as education, health, gender equality and the environment, with the aim of promoting development based on equality, sustainability and human rights.

During the previous call, the Solidarity Fund collected more than 15,000 euros from 900 financial contributions made by UAB students. This made it possible to give support to the implementation of 20 projects presented by PAS, PDI and Master and PhD students, which will be carried out jointly with universities and educational and civil society organisations collaborating with universities and educational civil society organisations in Uganda, Morocco, Mexico, Chile, Tanzania, Colombia, Peru, Kenya and Argentina.

Funded projects address a variety of subjects such as biodiversity conservation and wildlife management, mental health and community well-being, historical memory, etc.

If you are a student and are enrolling in this aademic year, simply tick the appropriate box during the process. With this small gesture, you will be actively collaborating in transformative projects and reinforcing the commitment of the UAB community.
