Game Week in Libraries, November 20-24

Les biblioteques UAB donem molt de joc!! This is the slogan that we adopt this year in the UAB libraries on International Games Month. We join the initiative promoted by libraries around the world with the aim of promoting the value of games.

Thus, from November 20 to 24 we will celebrate the Game Week in the Libraries and take the opportunity to publicize our play spaces and the selection of board games that you can borrow: we have games of all kinds, some of them of educational content, to encourage both quality leisure and the use of the game as a teaching tool.

Chess tournament at the Sabadell University Library
If you like to play chess, you can participate in the tournament that will be held on November 21 at 1:30pm at the Sabadell University Library. Registration is free and open to everyone. The first three classifieds will get an Abacus voucher.

Exhibition at the Social Sciences Library
The Social Sciences Library will host a bibliographic exhibition in which the various UAB libraries will participate, with a careful selection of books on games and game culture.

Loan of basketballs in the Journals Room of the Humanities Library
For its part, the Journals Room offers basketballs from the Physical Activity Service (SAF) on loan. They are borrowed using the student card and for a maximum of 4 hours. This service is the result of the initiative of fourth year students of the Psychology Degree to promote mental health through sport on Campus.

Games and puzzles in libraries
Don't miss your library, where you'll find a place with different board games for you to have a good time. You can play a game of chess... Or do you prefer Monopoly or strategy games like Stratego? Do you dare to finish a puzzle? These and other surprise games will be waiting for you!
