Exhibition about female economists in Social Sciences Library

On May 4, 2022, the Faculty of Economics and Business shows the traveling exhibition of Dones economistes that has been prepared by the College of Economists of Catalonia. In the same act, there will be the presentation of Janet Yellen, the Economist Woman of the 2021-2022 academic year chosen by the Faculty.

The event will take place at 1:15 p.m. in front of the main entrance of the Social Sciences Library, where the exhibition will be located until the end of May. The Dean of the Faculty, Judith Panadès, the Vice Dean of the College of Economists, Àngels Fitó, and the President of the Catalan Society of Economics, Eduard Arruga, will participate.

The Social Sciences Library has also wanted to pay tribute to Janet Yellen and Claudia Goldin (chosen by the Faculty for the 2020-2021 academic year) with an on-site and virtual bibliographic exhibition, thus continuing the tradition begun in 2020, when an exhibition was held with the first three economists chosen by the Faculty: Exhibition Dones en les ciències socials:economia.
