Closing of the UAB BIP-International Staff Week 2023

Erasmus staff week

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona thanks and says goodbye in Casa Convalescència to the participants of the first BIP-UAB International Staff Week.

24/10/2023

During the week of October 16, 28 participants from 13 countries (EU and non-EU) have shared this programme that combines virtual and face-to-face workshops conducted by the International Relations Area and the Library Service in a one-of-a-kind chance to experience the UAB and dive deep into the multitude of cultures in Barcelona.

The programme contains workshops, networking activities, and opportunities for sharing best practices among colleagues from a wide range of countries, including partners in International Credit Mobility.

The participants of the international programme have got the chance to discuss Erasmus+, internationalisation strategies, international relations management, International Credit Mobility and learn more on on-line services for students and staff.

The participants on the libraries programme have discussed ECIU university mission: to be an agile, open agora at the European level for solving multi-disciplinary societal challenges, doing research, and learning for life. Furthermore, they have shared best practices and innovative solutions related to organizational or technical issues and strategic topics such as open science, digital services, special collections and local knowledge, digital literacy training or co-creation models.

The group has also been able to experience our culture, with activities in emblematic places of the city and our whereabouts. The week has been closed at Casa Convalescència, where the UAB has thanked and said goodbye to all participants in an institutional act.
