FUAB Degree Programmes lead demand in their fields for the 2025-2026 academic year
According to data from the Department of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia regarding the allocation of university admission places for the 2025–2026 academic year, the degree programmes offered by Fundació Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (FUAB) are leading in the fields of Prevention and Integral Safety and Security, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.

The undergraduate programmes offered by Escola FUAB Formació have been the most requested in terms of first-choice applications within their areas of specialisation. This recognition is supported by official figures from the first round of university placements, confirming that Escola FUAB Formació maintains a leadership position in training for both the security and tourism sectors.
The Prevention and Integral Safety and Security degrees—both in on-campus and online modalities—have reached the top of their category. Compared to the 2024–2025 academic year, these programmes have experienced significant growth: the on-campus programme has seen an increase of approximately thirty first-choice applications, while the online version has doubled its figures. This rise highlights the growing attractiveness and consolidation of these studies among future university students.
Similarly, the degrees in Tourism, Tourism taught in English, and Hotel Management, with nearly 110 first-choice applications combined, have also ranked as the top selections in their field. This further confirms School’s leading role in tourism and hospitality education and its status as a benchmark institution for training future professionals in the industry. The programmes stand out for their practical orientation, international focus, and close alignment with the realities of the tourism and hospitality sector, setting them apart from other academic offerings.
The results of the first allocation of university places for the upcoming academic year reaffirm Escola FUAB Formació’s position as a reference in specialised higher education within the Catalan university system.
